Setup
Setup with Rock Band was very straightforward, and it took me all of about 10 mintutes for everything. I was slightly confused on the mic, however, and I soon figured out that you needed to use the Wii Remote to control it.
Gameplay
The gameplay is excellent. The guitars are pretty much just like Guitar Hero. The microphone is pretty cool. It's very easy on easy, all you have to do is say the words. However, on expert, you actually have to hit the correct pitches. Drums are, well, not that good. I personally play drums, so that may be affecting this opinion, but here's why I don't like them: For one, they are too loud and they drone out the music on your television. Second, their is absolutely no bounce on the 'heads' so you have to stroke everything out. Third, the way they write it on the screen is very hard to read.
Graphics

The graphics are OK. The menus are much less cartoonish compared to Guitar Hero. During a song, it's hard to tell because the video clips of the band are blurry and the camera shakes like crazy. I think if you removed the blur and steadied the camera, they wouldn't look much better than Guitar Hero. At the same time, the Wii isn't exactly a graphics powerhouse.
Sum it up!
Overall, it's a good game. The multiplayer is great since you can play with family or friends. The downside to the game is that Guitar Hero controllers are not compatible with the game, meaning you have to go out and buy a second Rock Band guitar. That's all fine and good, however it stinks having 2 Guitar Hero controllers, Rock Band drums, a mic, and 2 guitars. That's allot of fake instruments to have in your living room!
My Rating: 6/10
